This chapter lays the groundwork for studying SIMPL#. We'll learn about the syntax and semantics of the language, what a SIMPL# program looks like, what its various parts mean, and more.

SIMPL# is very similar to the C# programming language, one of many programming languages that programmers use to create executable programs. In fact, you may say that SIMPL# is an extension of C#, it uses all of the basic syntax and semantics of C# but it also provides additional functionality.
